Syllabus
The module begins with an introduction to the methodology used by the teacher. The history since 1517 is divided into four periods: that of the Reformation, taking us up to the end of the Thirty Years’ War, that of the Age of Reason, bringing us to the eve of the French Revolution, that of the Age of Revolutions, up to the 1960′s, and the Second Vatican Council and afterwards.

Aims
The module seeks to set the history of the Franciscan Movement since 1517 in the context of wider Church and social history in order to show how the developments in the movement relate to that history.
