The Friends of FISC
The Friends of the FISC is the collective name for the people who worship at the Study Centre. A Committee was set up just over ten years ago. Their objective is to support the endeavours of the Study Centre, to raise funds and to help to provide a bursary for a student to attend the FISC for a year of study. The Franciscan Sister or Brother may come from Africa or the Indian sub-continent. To date more than thirteen students have been financed through the generosity of people, and each year the Friends have been able to offer bursaries.
The Friends organise events such as barn dances, barbeques, coffee mornings and wine and wisdom evenings with the objective of integrating students with the Friends community. The Friends aim to be a link between the community, the students and the Study Centre not only in raising funds, but also in offering support and friendship to all.
